PEMBERDAYAAN KWT BAROKAH WAY PIOS DALAM PENINGKATAN PUPUK TRICHODERMA SP. UNTUK PRODUKTIVITAS SAYURAN

Abstract

Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Barokah Way Pios (WP) is an active farming group in Labuhan Ratu Raya Village, Labuhan Ratu District, contributing to the local economy through agricultural, livestock, and fisheries activities. In vegetable cultivation practices, KWT Barokah WP tends to rely on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which can have negative impacts on health and the environment. This issue served as the background for the community engagement initiative. Additionally, the limited knowledge of KWT Barokah WP members and the lack of outreach regarding the utilization of Trichoderma sp. as a biological agent for improving fertilizer quality posed challenges that needed to be addressed. Therefore, community empowerment through socialization and assistance in utilizing Trichoderma sp. as a fertilizer enrichment agent was carried out to enhance the quality and quantity of crop yields. The community engagement activities at KWT Barokah WP were conducted smoothly and in a conducive manner. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and strong support throughout the program. Based on questionnaire results, there was an increase in participants' knowledge, with an average knowledge improvement of 83.28% after attending the activities. These results indicate the success of the training in raising awareness about the role of Trichoderma sp. in improving both the quantitative and qualitative growth of vegetable crops.
