PENYULUHAN ALAT PRAKTIKUM INOVATIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN BAGI GURU KIMIA KOTA PALEMBANG

Abstract


One of the challenges often faced by chemistry teachers is the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support the implementation of laboratory practicums. In the chemistry education study program at Sriwijaya University, several researches have been carried out related to innovations in chemical practicum tools. One of them is the research "Development of Colloid Electrophoresis Tools Through Modification of Electric Current Sources". Therefore, it is necessary to provide counseling regarding innovative practicum tools that have been developed through the research. This community service activity is carried out in three stages: delivery of materials, direct practice, and evaluation. The preparation stage includes coordination between the community service and related parties. At the implementation stage, the material is delivered through a presentation, followed by practice using the colloid electrophoresis tool by participants. From the community service activities, it can be concluded that the target audience was initially constrained in carrying out practicums due to lack of facilities. By being introduced and practicing the use of innovative practicum tools, the target audience became interested and created ideas to develop other innovative practicum tools that are in accordance with high school material. These innovative practicum tools are easy for teachers to use and can make learning more enjoyable.
