PENGUATAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DALAM PEMBERIAN MP-ASI UNTUK MENDUKUNG TUMBUH KEMBANG BAYI DAN BALITA DI POSYANDU DESA DANAU USUNG

Abstract


Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu dalam memberikan Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) yang tepat untuk mendukung tumbuh kembang bayi dan balita yang optimal di Posyandu Desa Danau Usung. Pendekatan edukasi partisipatif dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan, demonstrasi penyiapan MP-ASI berbasis lokal, dan pendampingan praktis. Sebanyak 22 ibu berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner pre-post, lembar observasi, dan daftar periksa menu, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan praktis ibu. Skor pengetahuan keseluruhan meningkat dari 54% (pre-test) menjadi 86% (post-test), terutama pada aspek tekstur dan kebersihan makanan. Sikap ibu terhadap penerapan rekomendasi WHO/IDAI juga meningkat, tercermin dari meningkatnya motivasi dan kesiapan untuk melakukan diversifikasi makanan anak. Keterampilan dalam menyiapkan MP-ASI lokal, menentukan tekstur, dan porsi menunjukkan kemajuan yang substansial setelah demonstrasi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan terstruktur yang dikombinasikan dengan praktik langsung efektif dalam memperkuat kapasitas ibu untuk menyediakan MP-ASI yang bergizi, higienis, dan sesuai usia. Program ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kesehatan masyarakat, terutama dalam memperkuat gizi dini dan mendukung upaya pencegahan stunting di tingkat desa.
