HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN TEMAN SEBAYA DENGAN STUDENT ENGAGEMENT PADA MAHASISWA DI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan student engagement pada mahasiswa di Sumatera Barat. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan positif antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan student engagement pada mahasiswa di Sumatera Barat. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan dua skala sebagai alat ukur yaitu skala dukungan teman sebaya (33 item) yang disusun oleh Monica (2018) dan skala student engagaement (22 item) yang disusun oleh Pratama & Guspa (2020). Studi ini mengumpulkan data dari 160 mahasiswa di Sumatera Barat. Data diolah menggunakan analisis statitistik dengan aplikasi SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa korelasi  pearson  antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan students engagement menunjukkan nilai r sebesar 0,247 dengan nilai p 0,02 (p<0,01). Berdasarkan analisis tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa  terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan student engagement.
