EFEKTIVITAS DIPLOMASI MARITIM DALAM MENINGKATKAN PERTAHANAN LAUT DI KAWASAN INDO-PASIFIK

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas diplomasi maritim dalam meningkatkan pertahanan laut di kawasan Indo-Pasifik, sebuah wilayah yang semakin strategis dalam geopolitik global. Kawasan ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan keamanan maritim, termasuk sengketa teritorial, perompakan, dan penyelundupan. Diplomasi maritim, melalui kerja sama internasional dan regional, dianggap sebagai salah satu strategi utama untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan dan literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diplomasi maritim telah berhasil meningkatkan kerja sama multilateral dan memperkuat mekanisme keamanan maritim di Indo-Pasifik. Inisiatif seperti latihan militer bersama, pertukaran informasi, dan perjanjian maritim regional terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan dan kapabilitas pertahanan laut negara-negara di kawasan tersebut. Namun, penelitian juga menemukan beberapa hambatan, termasuk perbedaan kepentingan nasional, ketegangan geopolitik, dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, diplomasi maritim berperan signifikan dalam memperkuat pertahanan laut di kawasan Indo-Pasifik. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya, diperlukan koordinasi yang lebih erat antara negara-negara kawasan, serta dukungan dari komunitas internasional. Rekomendasi penelitian ini mencakup peningkatan kapasitas institusi maritim, peningkatan transparansi dan komunikasi antar negara, serta penguatan kerangka kerja hukum maritim internasional.
