STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT: STRATEGIC PLANNING ON COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES
Abstract
Persaingan dalam dunia bisnis tentu semakin ketat, baik skala usaha yang besar atau kecil dan menengah. Saat ini banyak UMKM yang mengalami tutup karena tidak bisa menyeimbangkan dnegan perubahan dan banyaknya persaingan. Setiap produk yang di tawarkan perlu memiliki keunikan dan ciri khas serta kualitas yang baik, sehingga tidak mudah dilupakan oleh konsumen dan tidak dapat tergantikan oleh produk lain. Kurangnya strategi dan perencanaan yang matang mengakibatkan pelaku usaha kecil dan menengah kesulitan dalam mempertahankan usahanya. Untuk itu perlu adanya dorongan dan dukungan dalam hal meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah agar bisa terus eksis dalam dunia bisnis. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui peran stakeholder terhadap perencanaan strategi, dorongan internal dan bagaimana perencanaan strategi dapat meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif khususnya library method, berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dalam lima tahun terakhir dan buku-buku up to date (5 tahun terakhir). Hasil analisis menunjukkan dalam meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif diperlukan dua dorongan yang dapat menjembatani strategi perencanaan yakni dukungan pemangku kebijakan dan dotrongan diri sendiri atau internal. Sehingga umkm dapat berja;lan dengan baik dan dapat bersaing dengan pesaing yang semakin banyak serta perlu adanya adaptasi dalam kemajuan teknologi agar dapat menjangkau pengalaman berbisnis yang lebih luas.
