Abstract

In conducting this research aims to understand how the form of implementation of IPR protection that seeks to protect Trademarks in the period of economic development and business competition is taking place, because the era of globalization makes the development of the world economy, especially in Indonesia because if one economic development is not regulated through legal regulations, especially in business competition or business, it is feared that it will become unfair business competition and will not realize the ideals of the Indonesian nation. The scope of intellectual property rights generally covers copyright and trademark rights, geographical indications, industrial designs, patents, integrated circuit layout designs, trade secrets, prohibitions on fraudulent competitive practices and license agreements. However, the focus of this research is on trademark protection, where trademarks become one of the problems in business, because trademarks are the identity of the results of an intangible innovation or idea that can cause profit if the idea or innovation is in accordance with the scope of society.
