Abstract


Sementara aktivitas kewirausahaan telah menjadi kekuatan penting bagi keberlanjutan sosial dan ekologi; kemanjurannya tergantung pada sifat insentif pasar. Keterbatasan ini terkadang dijelaskan oleh metafora dari dilema narapidana, yang kita sebut penjara hijau. Di penjara-penjara ini, pengusaha dipaksa untuk berperilaku merusak lingkungan karena perbedaan antara penghargaan individu dan tujuan kolektif untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan. Pengusaha, bagaimanapun, dapat melarikan diri dari penjara hijau dengan mengubah atau menciptakan institusi—norma, hak milik, dan hukum—yang membangun insentif permainan yang kompetitif. Kami memberikan bukti untuk tindakan kewirausahaan ini dan mendiskusikan implikasinya terhadap teori dan praktik
