STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN BI’AH LUGHAWIYYAH DALAM KONTEKS PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB DI INDONESIA

Abstract


Tujuan mempelajari bahasa Arab di Indonesia memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dengan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Negara lain. Oleh karenanya tawaran teori behaviorisme dan cognitivisme untuk pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia dipandang belum tepat untuk dijadikan rujukan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi yang tepat untuk pengembangan lingkungan bahasa Arab. Pendekatan penelitian ini ialah merupakan kritik analisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, teori behaviorisme dan kognitivisme menyebabkan ketimpangan dalam pencapaian keterampilan berbahasa. Behaviorisme cenderung mengabaikan keterampilan di luar keterampilan berbicara, sementara teori kognitivisme mengandalkan arah pencapaian keterampilan berbahasa yang focus pada pengetahuan bahasa secara structural. Kedua, dalam konteks tujuan pembelajaran bahasa Arab sebagai alat komunikasi dan dasar memahami sumber ajaran Islam maka kedua teori ini semestinya dipadukan dalam menetapkan tujuan pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Ketiga, strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk membangun lingkungan bahasa Arab yang dapat membantu pencapaian empat keterampilan berbahasa ialah menghidupkan lingkungan berbahasa dalam kegiatan sehari-hari dan mengajarkan bahasa dalam aspek struktur pada lembaga formal.
