Disrupsi Digital dan Degradasi Nilai Kesantunan: Studi Kasus Praktik Diglosia dalam Ruang Publik Digital Pemuda Surakarta

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis praktik diglosia bahasa dalam perilaku komunikasi generasi muda di Kota Surakarta sebagai wilayah pusat budaya Jawa. Modernisasi dan keberadaan institusi keraton membentuk dinamika tersendiri dalam penggunaan bahasa Jawa dan bahasa Indonesia di kalangan generasi muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap generasi muda di Surakarta serta studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan validitas data melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik diglosia diwujudkan melalui penggunaan ragam tinggi dan ragam rendah secara fungsional. Bahasa Indonesia digunakan sebagai ragam tinggi dalam konteks formal seperti pendidikan dan institusi pemerintahan, sedangkan bahasa Jawa digunakan sebagai ragam rendah dalam interaksi nonformal. Variasi krama inggil dan krama madya dipakai saat berkomunikasi dengan pihak yang lebih tua sebagai bentuk etika kultural, sementara ngoko digunakan dalam relasi sebaya. Praktik tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kebiasaan keluarga, lingkungan sosial, dan norma budaya lokal
