Capacity Building UNDP Pada Program Climate Change di Small Island Developing States Karibia Tahun 2020-2024

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis capacity building yang dilakukan oleh United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) dalam mendukung program perubahan iklim di Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Karibia pada periode 2020-2024. Program ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kapasitas negara-negara SIDS dalam menghadapi tantangan perubahan iklim yang semakin kompleks. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya capacity building yang dilakukan UNDP sebagai organisasi internasional yang bergerak di bidang pembangunan berkelanjutan, serta dampaknya terhadap ketahanan iklim dan pembangunan berkelanjutan di wilayah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dala penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yang diolah dari berbagai situs website, termasuk publikasi UNDP, laporan pemerintah, dan literatur akademis yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UNDP melakukan 2 cara utama untuk melakukan capacity building yakni asistensi secara teknis dan asistensi secara finansial. Keduanya berjalan bersama dan memberikan dampak yang signifikan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih dalam tentang pentingnya pembangunan kapasitas dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim di negara-negara kepulauan kecil dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk program serupa di masa depan
