PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK KOREKSI SECARA LANGSUNG PADA KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA KELAS X DI SMA NEGERI 1 SIABU

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using correction techniques directly on the poetry writing skills of grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Siabu School Year 2022-2023. The type of research used is quantitative with experimental design. The sampling technique was carried out randomly so that class X IPS-1 was obtained as a research sample with a total of 20 people. The research instruments used were questionnaires to measure the level of use of correction techniques directly and poetry writing tests to measure students' ability to write poetry. Hypothesis testing is carried out through the "r" product moment correlation technique with the help of the SPSS Statistic program version 26. The results showed that most students (95%) used correction techniques well and a small percentage (25%) experienced problems in using correction techniques directly. The majority of students (80%) have good poetry writing skills, and only a small percentage of students (5%) still need improvement in poetry writing skills. The correlation test results show the value of r = 0.499 (strong) and the value of sig. 0.025 < 0.05 so it can be interpreted that the hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion is that the use of correction techniques directly has a significant positive influence on the ability to write poetry of students in Class X IPS-1 SMA Negeri 1 Siabu School Year 2022-2023.
